Vision

    The overall aim of the SSSRI is to research in various systems and technology applicable to space exploration. Aerospace Research Laboratory’s contribution to this goal is to:

  • Conduct research and perform experiments
  • Testing and evaluating of equipment
  • Plan space and satellite missions.
  • Come out with innovative aerospace transport and launching systems
  • Discover novel technology methods in aerospace engineering
  • Educate future engineers on space sciences and engineering

Objectives

    Aerospace engineering is a major field in engineering that consist of two main subfields namely Aeronautics and Astronautics. Both Aeronautics and Astronautics involve research, design and construction of air crafts that travel within and outside of earth’s atmosphere respectively. ARL seeks to be a leading research laboratory in aerospace engineering in the following sub disciples:

  • Aerodynamic analysis.
  • Flight control systems and avionics.
  • Spacecraft propulsion systems.
